Beloved Sisters,

My greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.”

“She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.” Proverbs 31:10, 27

The responsibilities and the roles played by a woman in a family are greater than man.

Proverbs chapter 31 clearly gives us the idea of how a woman should take care of her house and what her children and husband expect of her. In the recent times, the needs of a family have multiplied. At times, as women when we stand clueless of what is to be done next, the Lord's hand is our only comfort.

I would like to tell you an incident. A few days ago, I happened to meet an old student of mine. The quote on his t-shirt stirred my mind. The words were, 'My dad is my ATM'. I liked it and so I asked him if he knew what it meant or had just bought it for no reason. He said, "I selected this one because my dad is the one who meets all my needs until today and it is because of him that I'm at this position in life. So whenever I feel like making my dad proud and happy, I would wear this t-shirt and he gives me a smile. This is the only way I show my gratitude to him". This touched my heart so much.

Yes dear sisters, we may be at any situation in life. The needs of our family may be many and the income might be insufficient or we may be facing a lot of crisis due to our sickness. Be it anything, our Father remains not only as our ATM but as our ‘everything’.

The Lord who answered the prayers and wiped away the tears of Hagar is always with us in every moment of our life to bless us and keep us in times of trouble and weakness.

When we seek the Lord's kingdom and His righteousness, He adds all these things to us. Be it anything that worries us, the future of our children or something about our husband, the Lord is mighty enough to give us the right things at the right time.

Just as the boy proudly wore the t-shirt with the quote, let us also confess that He is our everything. When we do so, the Lord will turn our emptiness into fullness and give us the wisdom to lead our family in the right way.

The only thing we have to do is to confess this to Him with a thankful heart. There is nothing to worry because we have a father who is mighty enough to give us everything to the fullest.
